Mini excavators (compact excavators) for trenching and site work in tight access

A tracked digging machine small enough for gates, basements and narrow yards a standard excavator cannot reach, sized from 1 to 6 tonnes.

The representative 1 t build runs a single-cylinder air-cooled diesel rated at 7.6 kW, digging to 1.7 m depth and 1.75 m unload height on a machine narrow enough to pass through a standard garden gate. Rubber tracks keep ground pressure low on finished surfaces and soft ground where a wheeled machine would rut.

Operating weight runs from 1 t up to 6 t, digging depth scaling from 1.7 m to roughly 3.2 m and bucket capacity from 0.025 m³ to 0.24 m³ across that range. Every unit ships as an export order, bucket width matched to your typical trench. A mini excavator ordered alongside a skid steer loader covers digging and material handling on the same tight-access site.

Every machine runs a full dig-lift-swing cycle under hydraulic load on the line before crating, boom, arm and bucket cylinders checked against rated pressure.

How these mini excavators are built

Size matched to your access, not your dig alone

A 1 t machine fits through a standard garden gate for basements and confined trenches; 3.5–6 t trades that footprint for greater depth and bucket volume.

Rubber tracks for finished-surface work

Low ground pressure from the tracked undercarriage protects paving, lawns and soft ground that a wheeled machine would rut.

Parts and engines your workshop can already source

Larger tiers run Kubota-class diesel engines with wide service support in most export markets.

Same export process as the rest of the fleet

Left- or right-hand control layout, your market's emission standard, and bucket width matched to your trench, set before the unit leaves the yard.

Where these mini excavators work

  • Residential and utility trenching for water, drainage and cable runs in confined yards.
  • Basement and foundation excavation where a full-size excavator cannot get through site access.
  • Landscaping and site preparation on finished ground the tracks will not damage.
  • Sites also running a backhoe loader, handling the tight-access digging it cannot reach.

Frequently asked questions

What operating weight sizes do you build?

Mini excavators are built from 1 t up to 6 t operating weight, with digging depth and bucket capacity scaling up through that range. Tell us your site access and typical trench depth and we will recommend the tier.

Will a mini excavator fit through a standard gate?

The 1 t tier is built narrow enough for a standard residential gate and confined garden or utility access. Tell us your access width when you enquire and we will confirm which tier fits, since the 3.5 to 6 t machines are noticeably wider.

Wheeled or tracked — which do you build?

Our mini excavator range is rubber-tracked, which keeps ground pressure low on finished surfaces and soft ground and gives better traction on uneven or wet sites than a wheeled machine.

Can this be ordered together with other equipment?

Yes. If you already have an order with us for a backhoe loader, skid steer loader or one of our trucks, a mini excavator can be added to the same production run and shipment, which is usually simpler than sourcing it separately.

Tell us the digging depth and site access you have

Send the digging depth you need, how tight your site access is, and your destination port. We come back with a configuration sheet and an FOB or CIF price, usually within 72 hours.
